Instead of letting it slip by, I am planning to make the most of this break by keeping myself busy, balancing rest, personal interests, and preparation for the spring semester.

The Hidden Language of Red Envelopes

Red envelopes (hóngbāo in Mandarin, lai see in Cantonese) are a symbol of Chinese culture and tradition. These vibrant envelopes are usually associated with Lunar New Year, weddings, and other grand celebrations. But these pockets hold deeper meanings beyond their monetary gifts—they carry wishes of luck, protection, and connection across generations.

    April 2, 2021 /

As the weather starts to get warmer, people are starting to partake in more outdoor activities. One activity I highly recommend is a game of catch with a football-- or, for those who love to run, have someone throw the ball to you during your light jog!

    An Unforeseen Lineage

    March 29, 2021 /

As amazing as it is to have so many prominent Asian female idols in history and the media, sometimes the ones who empower us the most are those from our everyday lives. Christine Hà: The Blind Cook on Her Journey to Reclaim Herself

    March 29, 2021 /
