    New Years with the Shens

    February 23, 2021 /

As a kid growing up, Chinese New Year brought me joy, love, and bread. Although my grandma does whip up some fire mantou, that’s not exactly the bread I’m referring to.

    The Legend of St. Valentine

    February 23, 2021 /

Whenever I think of the month of February, the first thing that comes to mind is always the day of love, or what most people like to refer to as Valentine’s Day. It’s a holiday celebrated on the 14th of February where loved ones exchange greetings and gifts and show acts of affection, sentiment, and love.

Christmas at the White House 2020

    February 10, 2021 /

While the holiday season looked a little different this past December, I had the honor of visiting the White House during my absolute favorite time of the year. I was able to reflect on all of that I am thankful for in my life, including my friends and family, and remember to never take anything for granted.
