Who We Are

Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is an Asian-Interest, not Asian exclusive, sorority that is founded upon seven virtues from the University of Georgia in 1998. The Colony Chapter at the University of Delaware was chartered on April 5, 2015.

We are a tight group of women leaders grounded in academic excellence and community service. We advocate for Asian awareness, empower women leaders through programs, and build everlasting sisterhood through our shared experiences. Our sisters participate in a variety of extracurricular activities and journey to various leadership conferences across the country to strengthen our leadership skills and personal values.

Our History and Where We Are Now

Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. is a 501(c)(7) non-profit organization that advocates Asian awareness and empowers women to lead through values-based programs and everlasting sisterhood. The virtues on which we are founded upon are loyalty, honesty, respect, dedication, integrity, discipline, and academic excellence.

Delta Phi Lambda’s national philanthropy is osteoporosis education and prevention, emphasizing the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles and behavior in young women. Founded in 1998, Delta Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. has grown to 20 undergraduate chapters in eleven states spanning the Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast regions of the United States.

Sisterhood

Delta Phi Lambda strives to create everlasting sisterhood through our shared experiences. Sisters will often travel to other chapters in different locations to connect and strengthen our bond. Once per month, we hold sisterhood events, along with academic study sessions to hang out, catch up, and have fun.

We invite our alumnis to join in these events as well so that the bond even after graduating will continue and be everlasting. Our sisterhood is one of our most important aspects and we cherish our time together with all of our sisters. A great moment where we are able to meet new sisters and reconnect with others is at the National Convention.

Sisters from all chapters will meet for a weekend in one location for leadership and values workshops as well as other events that help foster our bond. It is always a great time when we get to be with our sisters!
