The Ink Series: Holiday Card Edition

Submitted by Julia Sayco

Flowing from autumn to winter, I’ve always loved the holiday season of giving and spending time with loved ones. Over the years, I developed a sense of fulfillment and embraced my love language (Words of Affirmation) in distributing beloved Christmas cards to my best friends, teachers, and/or people that have impacted me throughout my life. Here I’ve included three designs for 2021 Holiday Cards: but in ink! – Warmest Wishes, AAPC

HOLIDAY CARD #1: Lotus of Light

A beautiful lotus flower to symbolize AAPC’s dazzling symbol: an amazing representation of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus produces the most beautiful flower. Enjoy this AAPC-branded Holiday card!

HOLIDAY CARD #2: Snowkissed

A simple mountain scenery encapsulates the beauty of the elemental features of nature: water, wind, and snow. Inspired by the animated television miniseries Over the Garden Wall, the card shows a starry night with winding tree branches, flowing water streams, twinkling stars, and tall mountains.

HOLIDAY CARD #3: Holly & Leaves

Holly and leaves are the typicality of winter greenery and are considered to be a sacred plant by the Druids. While other plants wilted in winter weather, holly remained green and strong, its berries a brightly colored red in the harshest of conditions. In Druid lore, Druids regarded holly as a symbol of fertility and eternal life, thought to have magical powers.
