I believe that music has the ability to converse with the soul in universal poetry that bypasses any kind of language barrier. Stan Culture and Why I Joined In
If you’ve ever been on Twitter, then most likely you’ve seen a fancam or two—videos of idols singing and/or dancing. Most likely you know BTS and their fandom, ARMY. At first, you might not understand why people are so in love with them. Like why are these random people replying to tweets with just a video of someone dancing? This has triggered a lot of hate towards fandoms and in turn the artist themselves, particularly for K-pop artists.

An Ate/Kuya Ading Reflection: Meet Two of UDFSA’s Newest Pairings!
Every year, the University of Delaware’s Filipino Student Association hosts an annual big/little event known as the Ate/Kuya Ading program. Ate is Tagalog for big sister and kuya translates to big brother, while an ading is a little sibling. This program serves to promote fellowship in the FSA community and give new members mentor figures to guide them through the new school year with advice, hangouts, etc. Come hear from two of our brand new pairings, featuring UDFSA’s Event Coordinator, Herissa Monsalud, and Philanthropy Chair, Matthew Ebron!

In many Asian cultures, mental health is swept under the rug. It is not an excuse to not be okay as it is seen as a sign of weakness. Those who are similar in age to my parents strongly believe this as they were taught to do so by their mothers and fathers. Comfort Soup for the Fall – Sopas
With the cold fall weather, I tend to gravitate towards eating warm comfort foods, like soup! One of the first kinds of soup that may come to mind when you think of soup is chicken noodle soup. For me, I think of Sopas, which is the Filipino version of chicken noodle soup! It’s a creamy macaroni soup usually eaten for breakfast, if it’s cold, or if someone is sick, meaning it’s perfect for this time of year! In this article, I’ll be sharing my mom’s sopas recipe, which she’s been making for my family since I could remember.
