Asian Women of Music

Happy March and International Women’s month! To me, this month is about intersectionality. It’s about uplifting other women from all backgrounds and groups. I’m excited to learn more about ways that I can support females and hope that you can too. Music is one way that I find that we can express ourselves and share our experiences of being a woman. So to celebrate, I created this playlist honoring Asian female artists from different genres. In addition, I wanted to especially recognize and appreciate Asian musicians. Throughout these past few months, the Asian community has faced increasing challenges due to the racism and xenophobia that has come from this pandemic. I hope that through listening to this diverse collection of music, we can learn and heal from others, especially Asian women.
