Thrift Store Finds

Fall time is here, and there is nothing better than taking a trip to your local thrift store to search for some exciting, reasonably priced fashion essentials. Thrifting for the basics can be super easy and affordable for your average college student. Let’s get into the cute fits and aesthetics.
1. Sweater Weather
Looking for something cozy and comfy, sweaters and sweatshirts can always be found at a thrift store. A new sweater can make an outfit go from cute to chic. Websites like Poshmark, Depop, and ThredUp are full of these classic fall staples.
2. Jeans Galore
The perfect pair of jeans is right around the corner. The new oversized jeans trend can easily be fulfilled by going into the mens section and a belt. There are so many vintage brands such as Calvin Klein, Levi, Lucky Band, American Eagle, Holister, Pacsun, etc.
3. Turtle Necks
Wearing a turtleneck changes your wardrobe to more versatile basics, not to mention keeps you bundled up in cold weather. The basic black or white turtle neck is cute, but a pop of color can also be incorporated into the fit. Adding a sophisticated aspect to your outfit, turtlenecks are very common. Places like Plato’s closet and Goodwill have sections for them.
4. Layered Dresses
If you find yourself looking at thinner, summer-like dresses during the fall, add a turtle neck or long sleeve underneath and make it wearable for the fall. Not only will you be warm, but you will look adorable and stylish.
5. Lettuce Trim
Another easy find for thrift store outfits. Lettuce trimmed pieces give you a youthful glow, and not to mention, is a little detail that can separate a basic fit to something fun. Going to a pumpkin patch or taking fall pictures with a cute casual lettuce trimmed shirt or dress can spice up the instagram pictures more than a straight stitched top.
